My family is Ukranian, and the guests that my parents are inviting are as well. They would like russian music played.
Anyone else have different culture music played during their wedding?
How did you incorporate it in? did you have it mixed in throughout the night? Did you play it for an hour during the reception?

Re: Music Question
I am planning on having a Greek band play for half of the night and a DJ play for the other half.... haven't figured out the exact details yet- but probably start with DJ for enterance and 1st dance (then one or two more American songs) after that switch to the greek music for 1/2 hour or so, and back and forth like that. (major moments like parents dancing will vary- greek for me when I dance with my dad, American for FH with his mom)
Hope this helps... You could also just get a DJ that has Russsian music and can play it when you want.

Re: Music Question
My family is very italian and we did have our band play a few italian songs. We left it up to the band how they incorporated it and everything went well. The guests that weren't italian enjoyed it and even joined in.

Re: Music Question
At my friends wedding she had spanish music played which was mixed in with english music. She had to give the DJ some of the spanish stuff she wanted played
I thought it was cool how even her family that wasn't spanish were on the dance floor trying to learn to dance to the music that was played

Re: Music Question
We will have some Greek music played throughout the night. It will be mixed in to the playlist (2 or 3 songs in a row). We will also have some Italian music mixed in.
