i'm not sure I understand your question but if I do they don't really play music while you're waiting, probably just something upbeat. They should start pretty much right out with intros.

Im not sure if you are afraid of missing dance songs, but usually they just play some sort of light music while guests are findng their tables and then once you all enter and do your first dance thats when the dance music comes on!
