Must MOB dresses match BM dresses?

Must MOB dresses match BM dresses?

I see in magazines that the MOB dress is in the color family of the BM dresses. Mothers will be in the photos with the bridal party so I gather that makes sense. However, my mother loves tiel and my bridal party is in pinks and greens. Any advice?

What about the MOG? Must she match as well?

Hi! Congratulations! I wouldnt worry too much about your mother's dresses. I've never been to a wedding where they were matching with the bridal parties. They can definitely wear any color :)

I agree. I wanted my mom to pick out whatever she liked the best and don't spend a lot on her dress. You can find some really great dresses in department stores or even David's Bridal, that are a heck of a lot cheaper then in a bridal shop

As long as it does not clash, then your mom should pick whatever she likes.

no they dont have to, and personally, i made sure that my mom got a diff color and stood out

My mom didn't want to clash with the BM dresses so her dress is maroon/wine and the BM dresses are purple.

My bridal party is wearing purple and my mom is wearing a night blue she was going to wear a shade of purple but she wore lavender to my brothers wedding and plum to another so she wanted a diffrent color

As long as they don't clash, MOB can wear anything. In fact, I think it looks odd if your mom matches your BM dresses. She has her own honor.

And, your mom won't really be in many pics with your bridal party at all.

My MOG would like to match the exact colors of my wedding party and my mother does not. I have to figure out something so my mother does not stand out and my MOG does not blend in too much with the bridal party.

Almost sounds like your MOG is really into the wedding and would almost love to be a bridesmaid AND your mother may WANT to stand out unless it's about a color she loves which isn't a part of the bridal party. So, I'd let nature take it's course. What does your mother say about standing out?
