Goodness, I wonder what the responses would've been like if she'd said she already ordered the gown.

I think we've all seen some dresses posted that were not our taste, but I've never seen a response like this.

It's one thing to say that you're not crazy about the dress (although I just choose not to respond to posts when I dislike the dress), but some of these posts were quite insulting to the person who started this thread.

I'm still waiting for you to say 'just kidding'... Sorry, I didn't mean to be mean....I think that dress will be too cumbersome to carry around all night tho...sorry

Rina, it's a lovely gown.

Don't be upset about the other responses. Not everyone is going to like everything.

And, now that there are 50 million 'are you joking' replies, no one wants to post saying that they do like it.

Many of the gowns that I liked were not very popular. Personally, I am not a big fan of strapless wedding gowns. They're just not my style. But, many brides on here LOVE strapless wedding gowns.

And, ladies, she did write an in-depth explanation about how excited she was about the gown. So, we all knew coming into this post that she really likes this dress. While we do not have to agree, we shouldn't make her feel bad.

edited to add: Rina, I know you're Italian and this style of gown is EXACTLY what is currently being worn in Italy. 2 of DH's cousins got married in the past 3 years and they both had similar gowns, one of them may have even had a longer train. So, if you do have a lot of family coming from Italy, this is the type of gown they will be expecting to see.

I was wondering what was your decision.
Please don't feel discouraged, if you feel happy wearing that dress, than that's what should matter.

In reality I think the dress is quite a bit, but depending on the wedding you are having, it may suit the style that you are looking to acheive. It may also look different in person on you. Please try it on and get a feel for how it looks- you may love it or hate it. I am sure that when you love something, your glow will just make a dress look great on you anyway.

Anyways, I would definitely change some things regarding this dress not to make it to 80's like. I don't want anything poofy on top at all. I'm definitely will get a dress off the shoulder's. Anyways, I'm not getting married until 2007, so I have tons of dresses that I'll probably end up posting here that I instantly fall in love with. I know I want a poofy dress. But, then again I never ever tried on a wedding dress let alone a poofy dress, so I really haven't been able to feel how heavy a dress can be. For all I know, I may just decide that it weighs a ton to carry around. But, I'm definitely sure I'm sticking w/ a ball-gown look.

Suven- I'm too traditional. It really yell's Italy. Love you Sue. Thanks for looking out.

Thanks Tania for your support. I could already see myself driving everyone nuts. I'll probably end up trying 100's of dresses. I can't decide on anything. But, I've actually noticed that Mary's Bridal contains many poofy dresses. I can't wait to try on all these dresses- it's going to be so much fun. How did you feel when you tried on your first dress?

honestly, i haven't yet but I know that i will try any type of dress but a lighter material since my renewal is in mexico. I can't wait also.
