I've been getting a lot of feedback from people who recently got married... Almost all of them say even though they love their pics/photog/etc... word of advice is to STILL bring a must take shot list to give to your photog before the wedding & go over in detail!! Yes, you book the photog b/c you trust their style, love their work... but it's important they know who you must have pics of (and more than one pic too!)... Just thought I'd share since probably 6 people have told me this in the past few weeks... There has to be something to it!

i literally emailed my photographer about this last night. i told him i had a bunch of 'must take photos' saved in a folder & he said to send them along... He said he'd be insulted if it was a, 'bride with mom, bride with dad' type list - as those are no brainers....but anything 'artistic' - he'd love to have a look..

I'm sure they will be... just thought I'd share b/c it was weird that many people (even who loved loved their pics) wish they had more than one of their little brother, step mother, MOH & Best man, etc... I feel the same about trusting the photog (b/c that's what you do all the hard work to find them). Just passing on for people who may not have thought of it since, as I said, I've heard it from so many people recently (a few who spent over $10,000 on photographer)...

I started doing a must take list and then i got lazy...and decided to go with the flow.

my only must takes are the family/BP portraits & a personal shot of fh & i that i want...all others i'm cool with journalistic~
