My 10/26/02 wedding review...very long

Reception - Russo's On The Bay
Everything was fabulous. The food, the service, everything! My mother was getting phone calls after the wedding saying that they were treated like they were the mother of the bride.

Photographer - Imagine Studios
I haven't got my proofs back yet, but I have to say they were great. Lia and Nelson work great together. I actually have people saying to me that they didn't even know that I had a videographer there. They are very professional, but at the same time very fun. They made us feel very comfortable.

Wedding Gown - Kleinfelds
In my opinion, not worth the trip or the agravation. After my 4th, yes my 4th fitting they finally got it right. My seamstress had to go back to Italy on a family emergency after my 2nd fitting. So when I showed up for the 3rd fitting the dress was a mess. It was uneven on the bottom, too big, and it just didn't look right. Everything worked out in the end but it was very stressful. Unless you live in Brooklyn or in Manhattan I wouldn't waste my time.

Headpiece & Veil - Basia
She works out of her home here in the city and she doe unbelieveable work. It's a little scary when you first go, but when she brings you to the back room of her apartment it will be worth it. I told her what I wanted and she made it for me. She is worth checking out if you want something a little different and unusual to wear in your hair.

Bridesmaid Dresses - The Bride's Best Friend
It is in New Jersey, and they specialize in separates only. They do not do alterations and they do not charge tax. All of the dresses were beautiful. We went w/ the Jim Helm and Vera Wang separates.

Tuxedos - Men's Warehouse
It all worked out in the end, but every guy in our bridal party had to go back because something was wrong w/ their tux. Stay away. Good example of you get what you pay for.

Rehearsal Dinner - Trinity in Floral Park
The food was great, the service was great and the price was great. If you are getting married in the area check it out. The owner Mike is very accommadating.

Band - Paris
OH, my God!! The dance floor was packed, people were dancing all night long. They sound wonderful, and they are really great to work with. From waht I hear they get booked pretty quickly, but I would go see them at a showcase. They usually showcase at Jericho Terrace and Russo's On The Bay.

Flowers - Pedestals
Up until the wedding day, they were great. I really feel funny bad mouthing them because Danny is really very nice. First of all my bouquet was wrong, so they had to make another one up and have it waiting for me at the church. Not such a bad thing, but all of my pictures at my mom's house w/ the girls and my parents are w/ the wrong bouquet. Not the end of the world but annoying. When we got to Russo's their was supposed to be a new boutinere (sp) waiting for my husband, there wasn't. By the time we got to Russo's his boutinere was dead, so we ended up just taking it off. So the groom was boutinereless. Okay here is the big one. The stands that held my centerpieces were wrong. They were not the ones we picked out. Although they say those were the ones they weren't. On a more positive note. All of the actual flowers and arrangements were beautiful. They really brought out the fall theme that I wanted. Everything was decorated w/ pumpkins and gourds just the way I wanted and it was amazing. Also, Pedestals did refund me for the stands. I do not think Pedestals is a bad florist, maybe it was just my bad luck. Everyone can't be perfect all the time.

Well, I hope this is helpful, and if anyone has any questions feel free to ask. I will post some pics when I get them back from Imagine. Good luck to all.
