I just opened my mail and someone I was sure was going to come RSVPed no. So far I've gotten 17 yeses but this is so sad for me. They have been friends of the family for years and we've gone to all of their family events- bar/bat mitz?, graduations etc. and they are not coming to my wedding. They've known about it for over a year.

Re: My 1st No RSVP
Try giving them a call just to make sure everything is ok. I can safely assume that it must be a situation out of thier control as to why they can not attend your wedding.

Re: My 1st No RSVP
Oh I am sorry! They didn't write on the card why they can't come? Or tell your parents, etc?

I'm going to have my mom call when she gets home tonight to find out what's going on. I'm just so disappointed.

Re: My 1st No RSVP
boy have i been there! try not to feel so sad.....but i know it hurts when you think some people who you figured wouldn't miss it for the world...are the ones to first say 'no'
your wedding will be great anyway and you'll have fun with the ones that do show up!

Aww...I'm sorry! Maybe they have a really good reason! Did they write anything on the response card?

Re: My 1st No RSVP
i'm sorry, especially since it's someone you thought would be coming. it's probably a good idea to find out why, that way you have some closure.
we had a few disappointing NO rsvps so far, but from OOTers who i was hoping would make the trip (but i can understand why they arent able to).
i hope the rest of the people you really want to be there can attend

Re: My 1st No RSVP
that happened to me too with one of my friends and one of my uncles. I thought for sure they would be there but they both responded no. One couldn't make the long drive from Virginia and my uncle was going to Florida. It upset me cause they both new about it for a while.

Re: My 1st No RSVP
Thank you. No there was nothing on the card but a check next to unable to attend. They live 10 minutes from the church and 15 from the RH. Oh well. My mom is going to call and find out.
