My 2/15 Wedding Review

Well, everyone I am finally a Mrs. My review of my vendors are as follows:

Weather Score: A++++
Although it was absolutely freezing out, we were so grateful that the snow blizzard held out for Sunday and made traveling for our guests easy on Saturday. Although some of our out of town guests are still stranded here but should be flying out today.

Flowers: Bellerose/Floral Park Florist Score: B
Flowers arrived at my house early on Saturday. They were very friendly and easy to work with however, I was a little disappointed in the BM bouquets. They were supposed to be long stemmed flowers tied with ribbon so that they could lay in the crook of your arm. The florist cut the stems entirely too short so that they didn't exactly lay right. They also messed up on the color ribbon and forgot to make the MOH different from the other BMs. Also, my centerpieces were not correct for the hall. I was supposed to get all white rose centerpieces and all red rose centerpieces. They only gave me red roses. The florist gets a B because although it was not exactly what I ordered, they still did a decent job and it could have been a lot worse.

Limos: White Star Limousines Score: A
The limos were on time and the drivers were very accommodating. We had a Rolls Royce for me and my new hubby and two 10 passenger limos for the Bridal Party. Everyone had plenty of room. Would definately recommend them to others.

Dresses: Adrienne's of Islip Score: D
I have to honestly say that my alteration experience with Adrienne's was not that bad. However, my BMs had an awful experience with them which affected me because I had to go down the day before my wedding and I had a huge fight with the owner of the place. To make a long story short, three of my BM were out of state. Each time Adrienne's had them come in for a fitting, the alterations were never completed. So basically my girls were making a trip from out of state only to wait around for hours for the previous alterations to be finished. Adrienne's touched my last nerve when one of my BM from Jersey had an appointment for 10 am the day before the wedding to pick up her dress and she found out that the alterations weren't done. My BM was in tears thinking that she was going to ruin my wedding and Adrienne's was not even slightly apologetic. Also, once the dresses were purchased it was nearly impossible to get through to the main house to make appointments or find out information. I plan on posting a separate topic on Adrienne's to warn brides not to use them.

Photographer: Majestic Bridal: Score: A
I have not got back the proofs yet but Mary, our photographer, and her assistant were great to work with. For the most part they took all the pictures we requested. They did forget to take the standard pictures of our rings and of the BM with just the Groom. But they took a ton of pictures - I can't wait to see them

Videographer: Majestic Bridal Score: A+
I can't wait to see the video. Joe, our videographer, was great. He was not in our faces the whole time and I am sure he got great footage.

DJ: LA Entertainment Score: A+++
The DJ, Chris (also the owner), was great. Every body was on the dance floor all night long. People kept asking us where we got our DJ from because he was great! Highly recommend him.

Hall: The Watermill Score: A++++
THe Watermill was incredible. They did such a fantastic job. Everyone kept commenting on how beautiful the place was, the great service and how delicious the food was. I have to say that I had nothing to worry about because our Maitre'D and Bridal Attendant took care of everything for us. The Watermill is truly a classy place and they certaintly know how to throw a party.

Favors, invitations, etc... Majestic Bridal Score A+++++++++++
Majestic bridal in Elmont was our wedding planners that handled our favors, invitations, we also got our photographer, videographer, limos, and flowers through them (and/or vendors that they recommended). Joe, Cathy and the rest of the staff were incredible to work with. I highly recommend them.

I don't think I forgot anyone. I will post pictures as soon as I can.
