MY 3.13.10 STORM E-PARTY!!!!
It was the most fun and memorable night ever-- what a story!!! EVeryone who walked in said the same thing ' What a night to have a party'
It was at Chateau La Mer at 6PM-- after raining all day and the high tide the blocks prior to CLM were all flooded and obviously the entrance to CLM was flooded and it only got worse-- people got stuck and honestly we didnt really expect a big turnout from the 167 yes's we had-- but amazingly we only had about 6-10 people not show up
I feel that CLM handled everything pretty well the lights kept flickering and we lost little blips of power but again CLM maintained its integrity making sure that everyone was ok and that everything was in order.
One of our aunts shoulder popped out of its socket and we had to call an ambulance--but the road was flooded so we had to wait for an emergency vehicle to transport her to an ambulance so that was one thing
unfortunately the worst thing was that our guests started freaking out and went in panic mode when they realized that the cars may have been stranded in the parking lot-- and so instead of freaking out to themselves they would come up to FH and I and ask 'What are we supposed to do?' and i was like i dunno im having a good time!! LOL a bunch of people left early and that was totally understandable
food was AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! impeccable-- ill post pics as soon as i can-- we had prime rib, chicken fraincase, and paid extra for chilean sea bass-- again just amazing!!! Everyone raved about the food-- and the CAKE!! Which i didnt expect anything special we just ordered a chocolate cake with raspberry filling and people went crazy over it!!!
NICK was with us the whole time and there isnt more to say that hasnt been said-- he was amazing and there whenever and with whatever you needed
we used colonial florist from bellmore and got topiaries made of ivy-- which were just amazing everyone loved that they could take a plant home rather than flowers
our DJ-- I cant even say enough things about WL2P ( we like 2 party) I know there are always italian brides looking for a dj-- and ive posted a couple of times about them A M A Z I N G!!!!!!!! Right on the ball with everything the pictures are hilarious everyone danced all night he spoke in both italian and english played the right songs without me ever telling them what to play and they are H I L A R I O U S again just amazing and all the guests wanted to know if we'd have the same DJs for the wedding which we do!!!! woop woop
also included with out DJ pkg was the ZAP shots and margarita did such an amazing job!!!!!!!!! some of our best pix are from her!!!!!! Im telling you-- if you are still looking for a DJ you have to check them out!!!!
our favors were from ebay-- we bought lenox bud vases and wrapped them ourselves-- all in all it was easy
I think thats pretty much it-- we had an after party at the post office cafe in babylon villiage and that was awesome as well they were so easy to work with we were originally going to do a 2 hour open bar but a lot of people backed out so FH and I just did an open tab (basically the same thing) and they were extremely accommodating!!!
to all you CLM brides-- you are in such good hands!!! and anyone looking to have an e party there-- DO IT!!
