My 3rd sonogram was yesterday

And despite all the problems I am having, our little one is on schedule and just fine Thank God for that.

Of course, as you all know my baby hates his/her photo taken and was back in the breech position and faced inward. We barely got one good shot and the one we got would never scan and post well. But the baby was moving around a lot and the heart was beating perfectly. And the funny thing is the tech asked if we wanted to know the gender. I said 'No' and she said 'that's good because it would be a guess anyway. the baby isn't in a good position' That happened last time too...our baby wants to stay a secret for a bit longer.

The baby is measuring at 30 weeks (which I am on Saturday) so that is all good news. We were a bit concerned the baby would measure large because of the diabetes but so far, so good. And the head of OB/GYN said he will NOT put me in high-risk since the baby is fine, which is great since that would mean switching from my midwife to a doctor and NO water birth possiblities.

I go for my accupuncture today at 12:30...and I am praying that this guy can get my nerve pain under control quickly.

I'm glad everything went well. Are you still secretly wanting to catch a glimpse of what gender the baby is?

Question: Will I have another sonogram? Or is it due to the GD?

So glad to hear everything is going well. It sure sounds like your little one has decided not to let mommy and daddy know what he/she is.

I hope all goes well with the accupuncture today and that they are able to relieve some of your pain.

Jenny- I think you do get another one at some point. I think the midwife told me normally it is done after 33 weeks or so to determine the baby's position and such.

Accupuncture was okay. He said that relief can take a few hours or a few days, depends on the person. So my fingers are crossed.
