OK, David's bridal redid their website, so now I have a picture of my necklace: It looks plain but the dress is ornate so I am trying not to take away from it.
Hi Alina, I honestly think that dress does not need a necklace, it will look a bit crowded in the neck area. I think the earrings are perfect.

I agree with Evenedan... the work at the top of your dress is beautiful why would you want to take away from that?

Re: My accessories
Hm, when I tried it on in a store (the necklace), I liked how it looked together. I will have to check it out again during my fittings. Thank G-d my best friend is coming here today, so I'll try to get her opinion, and some from my mom. I found that the neck area looked too naked without a necklace, but perhaps I'll need to reevaluate it again.

Re: My accessories
Are you wearing a veil? A tiara? Don't forget to take those accessories into account when trying on the dress and the necklace.

Re: My accessories
I am wearing 4-6 hairpins that I made myself (see the left pearl flower picture), and a long cathedral veil, only one layer, which I still have to buy.
I agree with Evenedan- a necklace may be too much with the dress and other accessories, but that is just our opinion

Alina - your hairpins are exactly what I think I may be looking for! How did you make them? Would you sell them?

Re: My accessories
Thrilled, if you want, I can probably make them for you... I'll have to check if I have enough mini pearl beads... they're a littel smaller in real life and if you want I'll bring one to the gtg...
I posted these instructions before... the most difficult part is figuring out the right size combination for beads ==> so make a layout of one flower and then pick the beads.
I used really thin wire (from Michaels - I think it was the thinnest they had in the bead section) and I got a box of mixed pearls. Then, I just made one flower pettal, and twisted the wire, then made a 2nd, twisted the wire, after the 2nd or 3rd pettal I put the center bead on... And when the whole thing is done, I just used leftover wire to attach it to the bobby pin... You can also probably do this with larger combs, etc...
Don't use regular string/thread, b/c then the pettals won't hold up and you won't have the control over them...

Re: My accessories
Is the necklace a chocker?
I think it is nice and it could go either way..wearing it or not.
The earring I love though and I think they are perfect for the dress!

Re: My accessories
The necklace is a chocker, it sits above the little dip at the start of the neck.

Alina
I think the necklace is fine if it is a choker. I also like the hairpins.
