MY ALLERGIES ARE AWFUL!!!!! (vent)

I am beside myself. I have been great the whole week off to the point I didn't even need ow I am back at work and My allergies are awful- I can't stop sneezing. Everytime I have gotten these sneezing attacks like I have right now, I end up sick with my sinuses or with an upper respiratory infection. I am either allergic to my clasroom, to my students, or both. I am going to take my allergy medicine and hope that I don not get sick for the SIXTH time this school year! Thanks for letting me vent!

Can you get allergies as an adult if you never had them before?

YEAH! My poor father got them when he was 40.

I've had them since I'm 6. I was *that kid* who couldn't go outside for recess when the grass was freshly cut, 'cause I'd end up w/ hives and welts. It's FUNNNN, isn't it Bri? I still have 'em too.

Try some tylenol allergy sinus - it's mild enough that I'm not spacey all day.

Isn't it ironic to be suffering so much in the dead of winter?

I take Singulair for my asthma, which I was not bothering with because my asthma was ok without it, till I read that it helps allergies too. And I began taking it again- it is the only thing that works for me. I tried Allegra, Claritin, you name it. Nothing else works. Maybe you should ask your doc about it. There are minimal side effects too.

I was miserable for all of December, so I feel your pain.

One can develop allergies at any time in life. My allergies are worse this year than ever before. I take Allegra when I need it, but try to take a break when I don't. I think it's a combo of the dust and the kids pets' hair on their clothes . . .
