My announcement

My fiance and I have made a decision, after much thought and discussion...we are no longer going to continue with wedding plans in NY. We have decided to keep our November 2, 2002 date and have a small wedding (about 30 people) in the Bahamas! It will save us an enormous amount of money and stress. I was always for a destination wedding, but he was hesitant at first. We are now on the same accord:) Just wanted to let you all know since you've been very helpful to me on this board with all your suggestions. Thanks.

Sounds great, I was toying with idea of destination wedding too at one point but couldnt do it. Wish you all the luck, bet it will be a blast!!

We have the same wedding date

If you check on www.ultimateweddings.com you will find an entire group of brides having destination weddings. They may have some helpful advise. I am so happy that you are going to have the wedding of your dreams. Please keep us all posted!!!

We just basically broke down all costs, compared it and figured that we would most likely have more fun spending less in the Bahamas with the closest family and friends. We thought about having it at a cheaper hall, cutting corners,etc, but we were just not satisfied with that. I don't recommend it for people who are really into the whole big wedding thing, but it didn't really matter to me. I always just wanted a pretty, romantic and stress-free wedding.

Dreamy, that is awesome!! Keith and I are going to a destination wedding (cruise to Bermuda) in June and I am so excited!! While it isn't my ideal for my wedding, I think it is such a fun way to celebrate a wedding. I hope you are still going to stick around on the board while you plan. Becky
