My April 13th Wedding...

Original post by J&A

Sorry it took 3 weeks to post a review but, it's been back from the Honeymoon, back to work, reality, etc. I chose to have a small, intimate wedding celebration so this review will not be extensive but, I hope someone will find it helpful!

Makeup-Gina Simone (magicmakeover.com) She is fantastic! My makeup literally took a total of 10 min. (including fake eyelashes) and it looked amazing. I almost cried when I looked in the mirror. Gina does a lot of print work for magazines, and is wonderful!

Dress-Adriennes in Islip. I had a wonderful experience with them. In fact, I lost 40 pounds so my dress was at least 3 sizes too big, and I cut off my extremely long train, and my dress still mangaed to look amazing in the end thanks to the very talented seamstress, Cleo. She was patient and kind and best of all, she actually listened to what I wanted!

Transportation-Dynasty Limos. They were on time, and actually gave me a call to let me know that they were pulling up. Our driver was very polite and extremely helpful. They promised a free runner, and bottle of champagne and they came through. We were very happy with their service.

Photographer-Maria Celeste (mceleste.com) She is not your typical wedding photographer, but is so talented and is one of the nicest people I've met in a long time. From the first time we met her, she made us feel so comfortable. She does not offer 'packages' and does not include albums. But if you are looking for an extremely talented photographer, and like more candid photos rather than posed/typical wedding photography, than you will love her!

Videography-Motion Pictures Inc. (you can find them listed under services) They are fantastic. Many of you already have seen their demo videos, especially if you booked Flowerfield. If you haven't you should check them out. They are so professional and again, not your typical wedding videographers. Dave and Courtney were extremely professional and unobtrusive on our wedding day. They went out of their way to please us and managed to interview everyone that we wanted without interrupting anything. They do cost a bit more than your average videographer but, I don't regret it one bit, they are completely worth it. We cannot wait to get our video!

Cake-Audrey's bakery in W. Sayville. Our cake was unbelievable! Beautiful on the outside and more importantly, it tasted fantastic! We had a chocolate cake with peanut butter and chocolate mousse. Everyone raved about our cake, they said it was the best tasting wedding cake they have ever had!

Flowers-The Flower Patch in Ronkonkoma. This is just a small flower shop that I came across through a reccomendation. The owner Nancy is the one you meet with, the one who orders the flowers, and the one who puts them together, and delivers them, so you know you are getting what you want. My flowers were exactly what I wanted! The best part is that her prices are very reasonable. I got all my flowers for around $300.

Reception Location-Collins & Main in Sayville. This restaurant was the perfect setting for our intimate dinner reception. We had the whole restaurant to ourselves (it was closed to the public). Besides the main room, we had a bar area, and a lounge that our guests could enjoy themselves in. Since it wasn't a typical reception, we had passed hor d'ourves (spelling?) in the beginning, then guests sat down to the dinner. The food was amazing and the presentation was fantastic. The owners, Vincent & Jerry both met with us through out the planning process, and were even there that day to make sure that everything was perfect. I cannot say enough great things about them.

Honeymoon-Sandals Grande St. Lucian in St. Lucia. We had the best time! The resort (the newest of the three Sandals in St. Lucia) is beautiful, and the service was amazing! They literally cater to your every need. Upon arrival, we were upgraded to a Oceanview penthouse suite which allowed us to have 24 hour concierge/room service. We had a choice of eating at 5 restaurants at our resort or a total of I think 15 between all three resorts. The food was great and they were sure to keep your glass full of what ever you were drinking, so there was many empty bottles of wine! It is the best feeling to go out to dinner, and get up afterwards without having to take care of the cjeck or worry about a tip! I don't know how I can ever go back to vacationing without being all inclusive! We did 3 excursions off the island. A sunset booze cruise, a cataraman cruise up the coast to see the sulphur pits and volcano, and also horseback riding. The horseback riding was amazing. After riding down a trail to the ocean, you actually get to ride the horse bare back into the water! We had a great time in St. Lucia, it's a beautiful island and we hope to go back again. Our resort was amazing and I would reccomend it highly!

Overall the day was amazing, and we are so glad that we decided to have a small wedding because we didn't feel rushed or on a schedule the whole day. We got to talk to every person at our wedding! The day was perfect, and I hope that everyone gets to have the day that they have always dreamed of!
