MY BM dropped out of the wedding....

along with her two sons ( my nephews) who were to be ring bearers! She was my foster sister and I'm so upset because she gave me no real reason, she said money was tight but I offered to pay for ANYTHING, her dress, RB's tuxes, anything and she still said no, said her husband said they went to too many weddings this year and he's overwhelmed by it? HUH? I asked if the kids could still please be in it, and she said it would involve too much running around and still uspet her husband...huh??? I dont understand anyof it? I mean I would rather have her in the wedding then get a shower gift from her and she just cant see that?
I'm even more PO'D because she was getting the girls a discount on the dresses b/c she used to work for a bridal salon and she has cancelled going 4 times already so now its getting late and she FINALLY tells me...Then asks if I'm mad??
No, Im hurt! Why does no one see that you want them to be a part of your Day and nothing more?
None of this makes sense, just wanted to vent..thanks...

I thought maybe too, but they ( her and her husband) have asked to borrow money before, lots of times and never felt weird? And her husband just got promoted to a 6 figure salary? So I mentioned that, and she said , well they want to buy a new house ( they own one already)?? So Maybe $200 tops for dress, tuxedos and everything is too muc hbut they want to buy a second house??

Sorry!! Sound more like her husband doesn't want her in your wedding than her. Is he a controling guy?? I ask because my cousin and her daughter backed out of my wedding TWO DAYS before the wedding and it was all because her husband is a control freak. I guess you can be a bit thankful that she backed out now and won't pull something last minute like my pathetic cousin. Sorry and I hope everything works out!!

She did actually BLAME her husband, said they were fighting too much over it? Which is strange because her husband always loved me, said I was the only one they could confide in..so its very strange to me...

She said...PLease dont ' not invite me' ...FH is Furious at her and said no shes not invited , but Im soooo not like that, I couldnt do that...so I said I would rather her stay in the wedding, I didnt want any gifts from the bridal party at the wedding due to their expenses, I made them promise, so she said, no I want to give a gift? UGHHGHG, I know theres more to it, because I just think she knows me well enough to just KEEP the gift and be in MY wedding!

I am so sorry that she did that. Definitely more issues going on then money. Sounds like there are problems you are not aware of. Maybe this is for the best. You will have less stress in the long run and won't have to worry about her actions.
