MY BRIDES BIGGER THAN 150LBS!

guess what ladies? i am FAT.
and guess what??

i am not here to say fat is great or skinny is great..or anything like that. i am not here to say that there are not days that i wish i wasnt..... but i am here to say..that when i step back.... and REALLLLLLLLY think back to when i was thin... was i happier??? maybe i was healthier..but even back then i had insecurities..maybe even more so.

i think i am coming to grips with even if i lose 30 or 40 pds by my wedding date..that i will still be FAT.

and FAT isnt a bad word. i guess i want to get rid of that stigma..

anyone ever read the fat girl's guide to life?? its an awesome book btw.

so..do i ever get a bit jealous of seeing small dainty girls in their dresses? of course i do... but then again i am me.and i love myself damnit!!! and so does fh !!!
gosh... if we all looked the same... the world would be soooooo boring!!!

me too...i'm 5'7'' so it 'spreads out' and when the nurses at my doctor's offices weigh me they have this look of shock on their faces that i weigh that much. i don't know whether to be insulted or flattered but nonetheless i'm still 'chubby'. i'm the tallest and 'plumpest' filipina bride you will find but FH loves me and that's all that matters!

I was fat when he met me and I'll be fat when he marries me!!!!!

Growing up I was super skinny, I was a runner, dancer, and on kickline in high school. The heaviest I have ever been was 194. I am 5'3 and now weigh between 150-155. I would love to go down to 130-135 before my wedding. If I do not lose the weight by the time of my wedding, I will still feel beautiful in my gown. I needed to lose weight because of my family's history.

FH met me when I was 130 and still loved me when I gained all of that weight.

Im pleasantly plump, and I like it...Im not one of those girls that if she loses 20 lbs looks like she lost any weight at all...I would love to be 150-155..but tough I am very happy the way I am now

I'm w/ Christine - FH met me this way, and fell in love with me this way, and we're happy. I know I'll never be skinny (nor do I want to be - I love food), but I would like to be healthier - esp before we start raising kids -- being chubby hasn't always been fun.

Right now I'm playing w/ time - I know how fast I can drop weight, and I'm literally waiting until the last second to do so!

Definitely over 150 here.

I really want to lose about 20 lbs before the wedding but I've hit a plateau and it ain't going anywhere!!

Still, FH loves me this way, with all my curves. I just wish I could love my body as much as he does!

Although I would like to lose some weight to be healthier but not necessarily skinnier. Plus, FH doesn't like skinny women, he's a big girl lover!!! Ain't I the luckiest girl in the world!!!!

Definately over 150!!! When FH proposed I was at the heaviest I had ever been in my life! And he told me not to loose any weight he's afraid of those Lifetime channel stories of eating disorders (he panics over everything lol) I lost 20lbs in the last year w/o trying too hard just thinking before I ate. Now I started a work out routine and I am eating better and hope to lose another 15 lbs.

I'm big proud and I got A** that goes on for miles and miles and miles!!!!! It runs in my family and there is nothing I can do about it! Even the skinny lil cousins who everyone thought would always be like that got sides and back now! woo hooo!!! Makes a bride feel that much better!!!

Bigger than 150 here.... a lot bigger.

Was: 236 in Summer 2005
Now: 204
Hope: 175 for wedding....six months to go.
