My brother is in the middle of NYC trying to rescue people

He is a NYC fireman and was called in to work today. he is ok we just heard from him he is there for search and recovery. Although an old co worker of my fiance worked on the 102nd floor of one of the twin towers, and his wife and 6 month old baby have not heard from him. This is so devastating They are presuming that he is dead. I can not stop crying. this tragedy affects us all and i will pray for all of us

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. This is horrible for everyone but my heart goes out to all of those with loved ones working in or near the financial district. I work there and am fine but I know my family was a wreck. God bless your brother and all the firemen and policemen.

Complete sadness

Everyone in there working on this disaster has a monumental task facing them. I can`t begin to imagine how frustrating it must be for the firemen and police not to be able to get into some of these buildings to look for people, or to fight the fires. I have also heard reports of many missing police and firemen. They have a very dangerous job, for sure, and will all by in our thoughts over the days and weeks to come.

A day that has forever changed our lives

I never thought that we would see this type of violence on our own soil. The worst part of it is that so many people live like this everyday in other parts of the world. I was in NYC today. I thank god that my building was not close enough to the attack to feel the fire, shockwaves or rubble. But I was scared because I did not know what might happen next or if the attacks across our country would stop. Today, we have known a terror no one should ever know. I am praying for all of the people who are helping, need help and have lost someone in this tragedy.

I was right across the street at a meeting!!!!! We saw the second plane go into the building. And we were running in the street when the towers fell. It was a day I will never forget.
