I was thinking of doing a mostly candle centerpiece but was worried about the length of time candles burn for. Thought I'd share my results!
Ikea floating candle ($3.99 for a small bag of them) burned for just under 4 hours. So did the Ikea liquifying votive candle ($3.99 for 10 I think).

won't they be lit before your reception starts, not exactly at the start of? will that be your only source of lighting (since they are your centerpieces). if all go out beforet the night ends i think it will be noticable.
i would do 5 hour ones just to be safe.
