My casual China just almost doubled in price!

I am so annoyed and upset! We registered for china to use everyday and it was only $43 a place setting. Now it's $75! Only 4 have been purchased so far. We also have fine china on our registry at another store and I think people are more inclined to buy that, even when we won't use them that often. They are definitely for casual use -- the place setting comes with a mug and cereal bowl.

Do you think people will buy them anyway? I guess we still have a ways to go before the wedding. But I hate having something I picked because it was a certain price go up!

That stinks! seems crazy for it to have gone up that much! Has it gone up everywhere? Can you see if there are other stores that might still offer it at the original price?

What store?

The prices will change based on sales etc

if you registered when it was on sale- then you saw the lower price

I would talk to someone at Michael C. Fina and explain to them that you already received 4 place settings at the lower price and I bet they would match that price for the balance of your set. I registered with them as well and they have been wonderful with any and all questions/concerns I have had.

I spoke to someone in customer service and they said they couldn't do anything and 'prices are subject to change.' Maybe if I go to the store?

The thing is, there was no indication that this was a special price. Even on the price list we got, the retail value was listed as only $60! Maybe the manufacturer just increased the price, but still!
