My cat.....

I am so sorry. I know how it feels, I had to put my cat to sleep on Halloween and it is one of the hardest things I ever had to do. Many to you.

I'm so sorry for your loss

My beautiful cat died last month... I didn't post it because it was too painful and new--- but he was 15 and 1/2.... The good sife is that they both lived long lives. It hurts but it gets better. My thoughts are with you.

I know how you feel, my dog passed away a few years ago and I still haven't totally gotten over it. It was very hard, and to this day I have trouble being around other animals.

We received this in a card from a friend, and were really touched by it.

It is very sad, and may bring some tears, but I found it to be heartwarming in a way at the same time ...

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I'm so sorry...

I am soooo sorry! Losing a beloved pet is one of the hardest things to deal with. My cat PJ died almost 8 years ago (she was 13) and I still feel sad when I think about it.

That is such sad news!! I am such an animal lover myself, and love my pets to pieces!! I am sure you gave your baby a wonderful life.

I am so sorry to hear about your loss. I have lost several pets over my life and it is still painful to this day. I am just thankful to have had them in my life. I know this time is never easy. Thankfully he got to spend 16 years with you.

I'm so sorry! I have dogs so I definitely know what it's like to lose a pet you love...

Our puppy, brownie, died suddenly last year at only 6 months old! It was such a shock, and we were all so upset. I've also had two other dogs pass away, when they were much older.... so I can completely understand how you feel.

You'll get through it.... and now you have another angel watching over you

OMG!!! I feel so bad for you. I had two cats that died within a few years of each other!!! It was hard! I'm sorry for the loss of your kitty!!!

I am soooo sorry to hear that. We also lost our cat of 19 years recently. It is one of the hardest things to go through. Time will ease the pain

I stood by your bed last night,

I'll see you in the morning'

And when the time is right for you
to cross the brief divide,
I'll rush across to greet you
and we'll stand, side by side

I have so many things to show you,
there is so much for you to see

then come home to be with me.
