My Centerpieces (fixed)

My Centerpieces (fixed)

So, I'm going for a snowflake theme since my wedding is in December. I am not a flower person and am trying to find something that uses snow/snowflakes and candles.

I played around a bit with some things I bought from Michaels/AC Moore.

Here are a few snap shots of what I came up with.

Let me know what you like...or if you have any ideas on how to make it better!!

I think it looks really pretty and would love to be able to use something like this.

(PS..I used tealights instead of votives for the pic just to get the effect...I will be using regular votive candles @ the wedding)

(PSS....the newspaper under doesn't count!!) haha

another idea if you want- i was in a candle store in Cold spring harbor - they had a big white candle -looked like a snow ball sitting on a wreath of iced branches -looked really pretty

I think that is a really nice centerpiece! Just beautiful. If you want more color maybe blue small tealights?

Yea, thats what I was thinking. Blue candles. I was going to use the regular ones that you put in votives, but I didn't have them at home to play with. So I used the tealights just for effect.

I love them- I don't like flowers much myself- they make me sneeze so I made my own as well. Yours look really cool. Another idea- maybe putting those battery powered christmas lights in the snow for a glowing effect???

Thats an interesting idea. I also purchased some irradesicent (spelling??) glitter snowflake things. I was thinking that if I go with this, to put the snow and glitter in a big sauce pot and mix it up, so there will be a little shimmer.

I will def look into the lights tho too!!

Keep the ideas comming girls!!!!

I think you did a great job. The only thing I might change is the snowflake sitting directly on the table. It kinda gets lost with the fluff and the candles...I would raise it up higher. Other than that they look fabulous!

How would I raise it up. I thought about that too making it a little higher, so its not so low, but the snowflake is a 3-dimensional ornament. My mom mentioned a stryfoam (spellling?) base, I just dont know if that would work??? Any crafty brides out there???

Honestly, if it were me, I would do just the snowflakes on the votives OR the snowflake in the middle. I think both is a bit much. I think less is more...

But I really like the idea. Lights would be awesome!
