I'm down to my last 50 checks but I still have over 7 months until my last name changes! I can't order a box because that will be too many! I don't write a lot of checks, but I don't think 50 is enough! What do I do???
I do online banking already for 99% of my bills.

can you get some temporary checks if you will need them? I work at a credit Union and we can give you 12 temp checks for $5 if you need them.

Hmmm, I never knew that. I'm trying to figure out exactly how many checks I write and what I can eliminate and pay with cash. I already thought of one in particular that is 2x a month so that's 14 checks spared lol.

Thats what i was going to say. I never use checks anymore. I pay everything online...

I do a lot of that already. The only bill I pay by check is the internet and that's becaus I throw the check in with my parents phone payment.

pay things online! i think ive only used 100-150 checks in the 5 years ive had my checking account. i pay things online, use my credit or debit cards, or pay cash.
edit, give FH cash and have him write the check from his checkbook

Yeah, I think I might be okay. I write maybe 3 checks a month (2 for our joint savings since it's in a different bank than mine and 1 for the internet). Everything else I pay online. Now I'll just deposit cash into our joint savings to save those 2 checks. I never even thought of having FH write out a check for me! lol

the bank will still accept your old name on your checks. i'm just going to use the rest of mine.
Dave has had the wrong address on his & as long as your info is RIGHT with the bank - it doesn't matter.

I think you will be ok... especially since you do a lot of your paying online like you said.
