My college valedictorian...

committed suicide. I can't believe it. I didn't know her, but she was smart and beautiful. She did it over the weekend. No one knows why and her family does not want to make public that she committed suicide.

It sure does make all of the wedding stress seem trivial!

I can sympathize in a way....my freshman roomate who I lost touch with for awhile, died a little over a year ago of a rare cancer. I think often of all the stuff she will never get to experience because her life ended before her 24th birthday!
It does make you realize how lucky we are to even be with someone we love and to be making such an amazing commitment to this person.
