This is really very annoying...it keeps saying something about the NT(??)...

Then, it shuts itself off after counting down 60 seconds...

I just got my problem fixed. Call Dell, they know about it and can help you fix it. They talked me through it and it wasn't hard. It's a virus.

call dell

1-800-www-dell

I don't know the cust. serv. number though, they should be able to tell you what number to call for repairs.

For those of you who want to know what I did for my laptop, it's diff. for a desktop I think, here it is:

make sure nothing's attached to computer (no printer, no phone, etc.)

Go to start
Go to Control Panel
Go to Administrative Tools
Go to Computer Management
Go to Services and Applications on Right side
Go to Services on Right side
Go to Remote Procedure (RPC only) in the list of operations, right click on it, hit properties and then set all of the things that say restart computer to 'take no action'. Apply, then click ok, then restart the computer.

It worked for me, but it's prob. still best that you call dell b/c you might have to do something else.

Good luck.
