My cousins Bridal Shower (w/ pics)
A couple of weeks ago we had my cousins bridal shower and it turned out great! It was at George Washington Manor. I'm not sure which room we were in, but it was beautiful. Everyone that worked there was great and the food was pretty good. It was a Disney Themed Shower since her wedding is Mickey and Minnie themed and they are going to Disney for their HM. All our DYI projects turned out great! The CPs were floating candles (pic included). To name the tables we found pictures of my cousin at Disney growing up with a Disney princess and put each picture in a frame - one princess for each table. the Princess name was the name of the table and the place card was an 'All day Disney pass/ticket' to the world of that princess!
Since my cousin is a scrapbooker, instead of a normal sign in book, we created Mickey head cut outs for guests to sign on for my cousin to use in her scrapbook of her shower. we also bought a scrapbook and each BM bought supplies for a month out of the year for her to scrapbook their first year of marriage.
We made the towel cake and the wishing well - we used pink and blue for the cake to represent Sleeping Beauty's Birthday cake and we made the Wishing well look like Snow White's Wishing well. Another tradition in our family is the ironing board lady. For this you literally make a lady out of an ironing board! It was really cute!
Let's see what else... the candle poem, the household cleaning supplies poem (not sure what this one is called)... Oh! and from her cousins - we each took a season and made baskets of 'supplies' needed for that season: decorations for holidays, kitchen tools, cleaning tools, etc. GREAT idea! She LOVED it!
