My cousins getting married in Turks and Caicos tomorrow - gift question

Obviously I didnt go, were not that close, but she did attend my wedding. I have no idea what she gave if that even matters.

What would be appropriate to send?

TIA

I know you said you don't know what she gave you. Try to look at your records. If you can't find it I would say 1) go to registry and purchase something nice and have it sent to thier home. Since your not attending and it's in T&C. or
2) Send them $200 if it was you and a guest or $150 if it was just you.

Maybe that sounds cheap but your not close and you didn't go. Hope that helps!

I am having the same dilemna. A work friend is getting married in the Bahamas and we are not going. Her and her fiance came to ours and gave us $227. (weird #, huh?)

Anyway, I say we should give them the same as they gave us and DH says that we should give less since we are not going. I did a mini poll with my friends (some married, and some single) and they were split 50/50.....

Any other opinions out there?

JMO, but if you're not that close AND you aren't going, I think a smaller gift, $$ or registry, is still a very nice gesture. Many in htat situation send no gift at all!

OMGosh! Amy, I didn't realize it was you! The best bride on LIW! Did they give you a computer in the L&D room? I thought you said you were ready to have the baby? Good Luck and feel well! I will keep you and the new baby in my thoughts!

Still here :(

She did come to my wedding, I dont know what she and her fiance gave.

She sent us a save the date but no invitation to her wedding, but I believe she just knew we werent able to come due to the baby.

I sent her a nice gift for her bridal shower too and I wasnt able to make it due to bed rest

that's funny, we got a weird amount like that, too, from someone.

Why don't you do a poll on LIW and see what the majority of us think?
