ok im probably gonna sound a bit weird right now but i was thinking about FH renting a tux for th wedding...my worry is what happens if the tux he rents all the other or most of the other grooms that have rented it have gotten divorced, what if he gets a 'cursed' tux???so i say to FH he has to buy a tux i tell my family and they all think im nuts...im beginning to think so too

If you're thinking like that, where will it stop? What about the officiant? How many people has he/she married that have successful marriages? What about the RH or the ceremony site? Where will 'the curses' end?
But, seriously, I understand what you're saying (especially since there is so much superstition associated with weddings) and if it would make you feel better to have FI wear a brand new, never worn by any other groom, tuxedo, then do it!

Francine you are hilarious!! Stop your crazy thoughts....and just think...with all the money you use in buying a tux as opposed to renting, you could get bigger flowers...i don't know..depending on the tux..closing costs on a house....the list is goes on and on..don't waste your money hunny AND STOP YOU THINKING!!! Try to think about it form the other perspective what if the tux he rents was by someone with a successful marriage and happy family life...there is always a positive its just that we tend to look at the glass as half empty instead of half full...so don't worry

try not to believe all the superstitions you hear b/c you can drive yourself crazy that way, I am the same way as you, I just try to take a deep breath and think rationally, probably a million people have worn tuxes that someone else had worn that is now divorced and they are fine

STOP THINKING!!! Seriously, if its meant to be its meant to be - if we all believed in the superstitions than nothing good would ever happen - and thats not true right??
I personally think that buying a tux is a little too much - but if you'll feel alot better if he buys a tux -than let him do it ...
