My CrAzY trip to PR!
My trip was completely NUTS! Filled with many ups and downs so I'll try to tell it as short as possible lolz
The day before we left, I woke up with pink-eye..just my luck! So I went to the Dr. and he gave me strong eye-drops that he said should clear it up within 3 days, but I wasn't allowed to wear my contact in that eye, or wear makeup (I am a make-up junkie so that was horrible news to begin with![]()
)...So fast forward to the day we're leaving, our flight was delayed by a little over 2hrs. We finally get there and there's some good news..she upgrades our room to a Ocean Front Balcony..the room was AMAZINGLY gorgeous!!! The view was beautuful!!
Two days later, I wake up with pink-eye in the other eye!!!!!!!!!!! A day after that, I wake up and my right eye is swollen pretty bad, I'm thinking maybe its from the sun so I iced it and the swelling seemed to go down...
That nite there was GREATTTTTTTTTTTT news...FH proposed again with the 'offical ering' that we had designed. First he took me to the beach and he said 'I knew you always wanted to dance under the stars next to the ocean' and he started playing 'Feels like home' on a DVD player he brought along (the song we seriously JUST deceided on for our wedding song, I posted about it on here before I left) and so we danced to that song and a few more, and then we just sat and talked for a little while on the beach and I thought he was going to do it right there but he tricked me lolz. When we got back to the room he locked me in the bathroom lolz and then he had rosebuds going from the bathroom out to the balcony and he had a chair set up all pretty looking over the balcony. So he led me out of the bathroom, played the song again and then got down on one knee and was telling me all the reasons he loved me for about 20min straight and then he said 'I'm going to shut up now because I know your dying to see the ring, so baby, will you marry me?' and he gave me the ring![]()

The jeweler actually messed up on one thing that I had designed, I guess there was some miscomminication, so I'm not sure if I should bring it back to have him change it or not, FH thinks I should..but we'll see..
Then that night I get my PD a WEEK EARLY!! I always get my PD late, of course now I had to get it EARLY!!![]()
The next morning, I wake up and my eye is just about swollen shut. I start to freak out and call my Dr. , he said try to get home ASAP and go to an emergency room. I called the airline but the flight we had was already the soonest one leaving..and of course it was delayed OVER 2hrs this time!!!! I didn't get back to NY til almost 8 at nite, spent my nite in the ER, they basically said the swelling can be from the pinkeye itself, it creates more fluid to get rid of the infection and sometimes it can't drain as fast as it should...but I was told go to see an eye doctor to make sure my vision wasn't being effected, so I spent 3hrs at a eye doctors office today..
oOo and my wisdom tooth deceided to come in as I was on vacation, cut up my whole cheek and was VERY painful, especially when eating..
But dispite all the crappy stuff that happened, we really did have an AMAZING time somehow. We just laughed off everything that was going on..I was so mad because i didn't want to be in any pictures and I am usually a picture ***** lolz so we were laughing that in the pics I actually DID agree to take, I look so grumpy...
Puerto Rico is REALLY gorgeous though!! We had such a romantic time away and the resort was the best I've been to! We spent time on the beach, in the pools, in the little cabanas, we walked around and explored a little, took the bus into Old San Juan to go do a little shopping and to go see El Morro, and we went to the Casinos for a little while every nite, all in all it was a great trip!!
I'm happy to be back. I missed the boards..I almost caved and bought the internet access from the hotel room, FH was like c'mon, I know your dying to go on LIWeddings lolz..but I was strong!! So you girls need to fill me in!! What did I miss?!?!
