My Dad finally snapped out of it!

this has been a difficult year for my family- with losing my Mom 18 months ago and my Father rushing into a relationship with a woman he met on Match.com- 5 months later

insisting she come to the wedding- and then moving to florida with her- etc- adding her to his will for $500K- it was never ending

well - he finally snapped out of it and realized exactly what we ( me, my brother and sister) have been saying all along- that this is not the woman for him!

he is back in florida- alone- packing up her stuff and shipping it back to her UPS

he agreed that he rushed in to this- and said next time he is going to date a few women and not jump into a serious relationship- this woman was driving a wedge thru my family- I feel like I got my Dad back

he is selling the house and moving to Florida- but at least I can come visit him now!

I am so happy that it worked out for you and your family. It is so hard when someone doesnt see what everyone else does. My brother is dating someone that everyone knows isnt good for him and we dont see him a lot because of it. We hope he wakes up soon too. I am glad your father realized and now your family can spend time together again

Glad it worked out. Grief does weird things to people sometimes, I guess he had to figure things out for himself.

That's wonderful. Sometimes we just have to sit back and be patient with the ones we love and pray they see the light!!! So glad your dad did.

it's an isurance policey and he is letting it lapse

I was going to fight her on any claims- as excutor-

he said he did that to protect us from her trying to put any claims on his estate-

I feel so relived that it's over- I got so bad I was avoiding him!
