my dad is having surgery tomorrow
I think I posted before that my dad had shoulder surgery in February to repair a torn rotator cuff and a torn bicep... and then during PT the rotator cuff tore again. ![]()
He's been in very bad pain ever since then.
Well, tomorrow he has to have surgery to repair the rotator cuff again. He's going to a different surgeon this time, who said that there's really only a 50% chance this will be totally successful, but that it was definitely worth doing the surgery. (This was after a second and third opinion saying the same thing.)
He'll be in the hospital for a night, possibly two, and in a sling until one week before my wedding. He won't be able to drive for 4-6 weeks. It's his right arm, and he's right handed. It will be a miserable few weeks for him - not to mention painful. I'm worried about him.![]()
The surgery was very painful the first time -- and for my father to complain about the pain, it's got to be bad. He said it hurt worse than when he had his hip replaced a few years ago!
I know other people have a lot more serious health issues going on in their families and my![]()
