My dad just got laid off today. They were really slow. I feel really bad. Does anyone know of any jobs available in the printing field. He worked at a printing company but wasnt involved in the actual press. thanks girls. The economy is so crappy.

aw, i'm sorry. yea, the economy does suck and it's hurting a lot of people. hopefully he will find something soon

definitely check craigslist, careerbuilder, monster.com, foxjobs.com. Good luck to your dad.
Ever since I changed my resume last week and made it better, ive been getting quite a few call backs and emails back.

Wow, I know how you must be feeling, DH works at a large printing company (handles the recycling of chemicals), and right now the business is so slow, DH got put on on a 4 day work week-4 day paycheck and if this does not work there will be 35 people laid off.
Perhaps he should look at changing fields of work, what did he do there?

Eeeks i know my old boss just opened up a new print shop tell him to send his resume to Gold Coast Printing in Melville (can't remember the damn fax number anymore).
If i know any shops hiring i will fm you. I am finding it hard to find a new graphic design job or even freelance work it stinks!

so sorry about ur dad EVERYONE i know has been getting laid off these days...it totally stinks when my hubby was out of a job he did careerbuilder.com, monster.com...all those sites..he did get a bunch of hits & now has a great job because of it
