my dads boat sank yesterday

yesterday my dad was bringing his refurbished boat around the island from amityville to port jefferson


and

there was a undetected piece of wood sharp edge in the water by the throgs neck bridge and it scraped his wooden boat, (it was a huge boat)

and put a hole in it, and hit the propeller jammed it and then the propeller went into the boat and made a huge hole.

that was the boats 1st voyage and my mom and dad christened it with champagne yesterday morning..

its all damaged, my dad is so sad. oil is everywhere.

that was like my dads baby. that was his dream boat. i feel so bad.

there were 6 guys on the boat yesterday including my dad for the voyage around the island they had to quickly put thier life vests on and whisteled and another boat came to thier rescue b4 the coast guard came..

everyone is ok

its so damaged he has to trash it... so sad... i never thought this would happen. he took pics of her wobbleing in the water yesterday so sad. my mom said he cried when he saw the boat today , i am worried about him, he partically named it after his navy ship that got attacked a while ago, and he is still dealing with that (1964 i think) anyway, they had to trash that navy ship and now he has to trash this i hope this does not bring up old memories ya know...
