My dads going to court for a traffic ticket on Monday - QUESTION
My mom SWEARS she paid it in 2000. She is so responsible Im sure she did. But they moved their bedroom about 3 months ago and somehow she now can not find the other half of the money order proving she paid it.
Does anyone know how to prove then that she paid it? Who would she contact. They say they didnt get it.

If it was a money order, you can't track it...unless you have the receipt with the number on it...

Why did she pay with a Money Order?
If it is a check, then it could be tracked, but as the PP said, you can't track a money order.

I have NO idea. I told her the same thing. Oh well. Now my dad is going to lose a days worth of pay to go to court to have to pay a ticket that they already paid. My dad swears he will NOT pay it again so I have no idea what will happen.

It's going to be steep too, because they tack on fees too!
Hopefully he can fight it! Maybe they will knock it down?

what crt is it in, my boss (a lawyer) is going to traffic crt on monday, if its the same crt he could probably help your dad
