Woke up at 5:30 Out the door at 6:20 Car dead 6:30
Noon-ish - E-mail from sister in law in regard to the BM luncheon planned on the 10th which includes my two nieces(from my brother's FIRST marriage) that basically said that my ex-sister-in-law's family has a function out of state that day which requires my neices presence and therefore they can't come to a luncheon I planned BACK IN THE SUMMER
WHAT?????
I am so disappointed. I found a day to wrangle my entire BP so we could have a nice ladies luncheon together. I knew that my nieces were tough to schedule so I planned WAAAAAAY in advance to accommodate them. Two of my ladiess have children under 5 who are heavily programmed with dance and karate lessons. One of my ladiess works in entertainment and has to schedule things around other people's schedules - even the wedding wasn't easy for her. Now I really dont know what to do. I mass e-mailed the remaining BP members with all of the options of date and time changes, but my gut tells me that I will have to cancel.
This just $UCK$!

Could it be that your heartless ex sister in law is in cahoots and it is your shower date?!?! and that is just to throw you? Or is she once again showing her colors?

This isnt my shower. I wanted to make a luncheon for my BP so they could all be in the same room at least ONCE before the wedding. Being that my brother is divorced (since remarried), his time is limited with his children from his first marriage. Knowing that, I planned months in advance for this luncheon. My ex-SIL has no idea when that would have been. Fortunately, the wedding is on a weekend when my brother has his daughters and under NO circumstances would he ever let them miss out on this opportunity. He is a good father who wants them to experience things, even when it means making sacrifices.
My current SIL, who helps my brother with his scheduling of events, couldnt be more understanding and sweet. She is always apologizing for these things and feels badly.

Oh well that is always a possibility BECAUSE NONE of them responded to the formal E-VITE type of thing I sent. Perhaps they are plotting. But I have to play the game with them regardless. My nephew saw my slipper basket here the other day and says 'Uh is that for the shower.' My sister was P-O'd. By the way, I've been a bad girl - snooping gets you nothing...nothing but a DYSON!!!! I can't believe someone bought us that thing!!!

Leslie, I am so sorry, but the first thought in my head was the same thing, that maybe it's really your shower and they are plotting. Nothing would throw you off more than thinking your nieces can't make it!!
