how many of you girls still write in a journal/diary???
i've had one since like high school. it's the same book that i write in now. i usually write in it when i can't sleep or something.
now, my question is, do i get rid of it once i'm married? it has a lot of secrets and juicy gossip in it. it may also mention a few fights me and FH had. but like that i'm not worried about. it says things about my ex's from back in the day and stuff. i dunno if FH would be upset if he ever stumbled upon it and read it.
anyone else?

Re: my diary...
I have many journals that I have written in over the years from when I was in high school. I haven't written in a few years though. I suggest you NEVER get rid of them!!!! You will be kicking yourself when you are old and grey and wish you still had them. My suggestion would be to put the older ones away in a box that is sealed shut.... (try duck tape lol) My FH doesn't even express any desire to open them and read them, they are filled with sooo much drama he'd probably get nauseous on the first line !!!

I agree...put them away, you'll love to read them and think of things you did when you were younger, years from now. Just start a new journal for your married life..

Don't get rid of them. Put them away.
My grandma kept a journal most of her life and she kept them all. One day I was cleaning with her and she took them out and we read some stuff together. It was one of the sweetest moments.
Even though it may have some bad stuff and some juicy stuff and some happy stuff, it's all your memories and feelings and thoughts. One day you'll be glad you kept them.

Re: my diary...
Hey Jess! I still have several journals that I wrote in from the time I was in elementary school til I first went to college. I would never get rid of them even though there are some things in there that are pretty juicy. They contain what I was thinking back then and I want to be able to look back on that time throughout my life. I would keep them, because once they are gone, you will never get that chance to read them later on.

I do the same thing and have for as long as I can remember. Take a page from my book and DO NOT get rid of them. I did this years ago and now wish I stillhad them so I could look thru them.

Re: my diary...
My sister has been keeping a diary/journal since she was very young- before middle/high school and she continues to write now that she is married and all. If you enjoy it as an outlet for you then I wouldn't stop writing in it.
