My dinner worked!! My parents have faith in me!!! =)

I volunteered to make dinner for everyone tonight, 'cause Mom is the only cook in the house and she is sooo sick w/ the flu. I didn't want to subject my little bro and sis to takeout AGAIN!

Then, as everyone has experienced, it turns into 'oh, so-and-so is coming too. oh and my BF too...' My family of 5 turned into 8 in a few minutes!!!

Luckily, dinner for my entire sick family came out GREAT (read: no one is vomiting...yet.)


I made grilled chicken and spiced it up with some italian seasonings, then topped it with prosciutto and fresh mozzerella. (I LOVE COSTCO!) I boiled some ravioli too, (again, yay costco), and topped everything with Trader Joe's Tuscan-style marinara sauce that I added cream to and tossed some more prosciutto into, so it was a light, creamy pink sauce. Bought EVERYTHING for $40 too!!! Chicken, cheese, prosciutto, bread, ravioli, sauce, cream..everything.

Best part? My family has faith in me now!!! They always tell everyone I'm the worst cook ever...
yeah, I cheated on the sauce, but HEY! I only had an hour.

...proving that I can cook to my MIL was so much easier- the only thing she cooks is hamburgers.
