My DIY card box! *UPDATED*

Ok, honest opinion... how does it look?? not 100% sure Im in love with it yet...

*UPDATE* after taking all of your advice, I changed my card box and now I love it! What do you think?

I think it looks really nice! did you hot glue the snowflakes? I think it might also look nice if you put the snowflakes around the bottom layer only......just b/c the snowflakes are a little big....other than that I think it looks great!!! I made one too so I know what a pain in the *#$%! it is to make!!

you mean I should take the one off of the middle?? after I put them on I thought it looked a little ceezy lol... thanks

yea I guess being its the middle layer, putting it on the ribbon kind of breaks it up a little bit.....don't make yourself too nuts though. I had added a gazzillion little flowery things on my DIY cardbox, and I was going to take them off and hot glue mini pearl things over the hot glue mark.....then I realized no one will really be looking at the cardbox that much anyway, it wasn't worth hot gluing my skin off 3 days before the wedding!!! I really didn't pay much attention to it at the reception.....so seriously this is one thing not to stress about!!

lol, I already hot glued myself like 25 times doing this! I guess you are right, Im not going to stress too much, way too many more projects to do lol. Thanks!

it looks good but may i suggest maybe adding some sparkle to the snowflakes??? also maybe some pearls ribbon glued on the red ribbon. but i would definalty put some glitter sparkles on the snowflakes.

go to ac moore or michaels and go down the aisle with all paints they make a clear paint with glitter in it you can just paint them carefully.

You can also just coat the flakes with glue and sprinkle on the glitter and shake off whatever doesnt stick.

I feel like the top layer needs either tiny snowflakes or some more silver touches to mesh with the bottom two layers

I do like it-its cute. But I dont like the top box being different from the others-meaning without the red ribbon. What if you did the red ribbon-and put smaller snow flakes on the top layer ( less of them ) put the larger snow flakes on the bottom layer and wrapped the tulle around just eh middle layer. Also, agree with someone else who said to glitter the snow flakes, I would do that also.

Dont make yourself crazy over it, if you like it then leave it as is. No one is going to sit there and pull and pick it apart as much as you are!
