my DIY cardbox! with pics!!!!

Ok, so mom and I were on a roll this weekend. First the veil...then the cardbox!

I was in Home Goods (I LOVE THAT STORE ) and came across this awesome hat box that I thought would make a fantastic card box!

So I bought it, bout sage ribbon a tassle thing, used hot glue, glues everything down, and VOILA! Card box!

I just have to cut a slot in the front and its done! It's in my colors - champagne, sage, golds, browns, etc..

we have the same color scheme! So I figure you should pull out that handy glue gun and make me one of those boxes j/k...beautiful work

Love it! Great idea! I wish I had though of going to home goods. I searched high and low for hat boxes to make my card box thing... Finally found some but they were all designed and what not. Had to spray paint it twice and then wrap each one in cloth. Your idea is beautiful and much less stress.
