My talented FH put it together, he's so creative :) He also put the top together. I'll take credit for putting the photos in and making the 'mattress-top' look with the rhinestones! hehe

Pics are a little blurry- when I used a flash it would blind the pic! Also below is our guest 'sign board', I put that together yesterday as well!

Oh and total cost of everything (including printing the 8x10 photos, which Walmart kodak machine rapes you on BTW) was about $30! Printing the damn photos was the most expensive part at like $20!!

thanks! My colors are eggplant and silver and fuschia accents.... so we made it go with our colors... the fabric looks nicer and shinier in person it looks kinda dull in the photos

Someone asked how to make it... we bought 8x10 wooden photo frames on clearance at Walmart and spray painted them, then FH used L-brackets to screw them together (8 altogether to hold the frames together) then use 8 more, 1 toward the center top of each frame and 1 on the bottom of each frame to hold square of foam board as the top and bottom of the box. We then covered the top piece of foam board with batting and then the fabric and stapled it around to the bottom of the foam board. I then drove nails in and glued rhinestones on top of the nails to give it the 'mattress' look- what is that called?

DIY Photo Frame Cardbox

Wooden Frames- $2 each at Walmart
Batting & Fabric-$5 at Joann Fabric
Spray Paint- already had but $2 at Walmart
Rhinestones- already had, about $5 at Michael's
Staples
Nails- 79 cents
Screws- 79 cents
L brackets- $2
Photos- $4.97 each at Walmart! I'd recommend going to CVS or looking somewhere cheaper, the damn pictures cost more than the rest of the box!

so not counting photos (bc if you bought a box you'd still have to buy the pics anyway) grand total is about $25
