My DIY Centerpieces...(pic in my album)

Original post by reneemarie2

Here's my DIY centerpiece!!!

ETA...I give up, it's in my album. It's a trial run, I'm still not sure which direction I'm going to go in. Oh, and, I'm going to leave out the mirror.

I love them!!!! I'm thinking of doing the same thing.
Tell me though, who are you planning on having to set all of that up?? Is your B Mgr. doing it for you or did you get a DOC? I just don't know what to do about that.....

I haven't gotten that far yet. That is my concern though about a DIY. I have to check with the RH. If they can't do it, I might have to enlist a family member or friend that is not in the bridal party to set it up for me, then get them a nice gift in return for their time. I just haven't seen any centerpieces from the florists I've visited that are in my budget that I like...and I'll save money too, which is good since I'm definately on a budget.

They really are so nice. If you don't mind my asking, how much is that costing you total per table? If you want you can FM me if you feel comfortable disclosing the amount....

I got everything from Michael's for the trial run, but will be looking for discounts, bargains, buying things in bulk, etc, from this point on. If everything is purchased from Michaels w/ the 40% coupons that they offer every week, I calculated that it will all cost about $18 (without the mirror, because I decided not to use the mirror). However, I think with some research, and lots of looking, that price could definately come down. I just haven't gotten that far yet.

Oh, and the petals...which I just broke apart roses because the florist I was dealing with said that it's cheaper to do that than to order petals. So maybe $20...no more.

I like them with the mirror. I think it will help reflect the light once the candles are lit. They are super cute though
