Hi girls, thought I'd post a few pics of my DIY stationary. Chinese wedding with a cherry blossom/pink/green/white theme.
Invitations... you can't see it very well but there's a 'double happiness' watermark behind the text.

I made it in Word from a template I found floating around. Just use 4 columns (or more depending on how many guests you have) and try to distribute it evenly between them. Some letters stretched over 2 columns because otherwise one column would be a lot longer than another. Our names and date in the middle were text boxes, and the thank you at the bottom was in the footer.
I based it on this knottie seating chart:

This all looks fantastic-so professional looking. Was the seating chart very difficult to make? I was considering making my own but not sure if it would come out very expensive and time consuming to boot.

Thanks, I'm really pleased with how it turned out and I'm glad I put in the effort. The final product was well worth it. It can be a little fiddly getting your columns to look right but certainly not the most time consuming of DIY ventures. Cost would depending on how you want it framed and what quality etc. You justify the framing cost by removing the seating chart after the wedding and putting in a wedding photo you can hang on your wall. Oh, and make sure you get non-reflective glass.

Re: My DIY efforts
That is absolutely gorgeous. Did your invitations come pre-printed with the cherry blossom trees or did you create them?

Yes I got it double matted (pink inner, green outer) and framed with non-reflective glass and a jarrah frame.
The blossoms were a desktop wallpaper I found online that I edited in photoshop. Nothing was preprinted.
