My DIY garters w/ pics - FINISHED TONITE!!!!

I got started on my garters last night. I wanted a pop of color and love polka dots, so I opted for hot pink and white. I still need to add some embellishments to both. I need to snoop around online and see what I find that looks good!

They were very easy to make and fun too!

Here is a link to directions. Almost exactly what I did. My ribbon was 7/8 of and inch and I used 1/2 inch elastic. I used 36 inches (1 yard) of the lace and ribbon for each garter.

I have a question though. I noticed girls post pics of two garters (just like yours) instead of one. Is everyone using two? Is it to keep one on when one is taken off during the garter toss?

Yes usually the smaller one is used for the toss
