I never thought it was my kind of thing to do them but w/ work making me bananas they became almost theraputic..am I becoming crafty?!

So here are some things, there are more in my album (STD, BM newsletter, etc) I had to share since i'm getting kind of proud and no one else will care but a bunch of other brides haha!! Hope you like

My OOT bags. NYC theme (subway map, NYC landmark postcard, NY Deli potato chips along w/ random snacks)

my jumping broom (ignore my carpet, I did a ton of messy projects that day haha)

Adinka symbol table numbers
Adinka is a pattern used on clothing in Ghana for sacred occasions such as weddings. Each pattern has a name & meaning attached. The frames have the pattern, name, translation and meaning.

What is the broom for?

Oh sorry, I should have explained The broom is a jumping broom. In African American tradition the broom is jumped over usually at the end of the ceremony right after the pronouncement of being husband and wife and before the recessional back down the aisle. It is how marrages were sealed during slavery. With African Americans when we get married its called Jumping the Broom.

Its a way for us to recognize FH's family and culture as my family is from the Caribbean and we don't have this tradition.

WOW LOOOOOVVVEEE Love Love the table numbers! You did a great job. and the pictures are darn good for your cell phone. My phone takes horrible pictures.
