I called him to set up a final appt. and he has not returned my call. I have a bad feeling about them - they didn't show me video footage because they said every wedding is different and if they show me footage from a wedding that is not like mine then it will make me think they are not a good fit - but now I feel nervous -
I have paid them - $475 dollars already but that covers the violins I ordered from them - the DJ is due the week of the wedding -
I think I want to cancel and go with Tommy Tunes - who seem really nice and are highly recommended -
should I do this? -

Re: MY Dj is unresponsive
I'm not sure who your DJ is but I'm sure it's going to be fine! Just hang in there!

I really dont know what you should do but I had Tommy Tunes and they were great. I had Joe E and Mike the DJ. I really think we would have been fine with no MC also

thanks guys - and it is only the Dj by himself - is that strange - should I have another person as MC?

dont panic yet...you still have a little more than a month before your wedding....although he should return your calls...you both still have plenty of time to review final details

I'm only having a DJ who'll do the MC'ing as well. We didn't want it to be too overwhelming, and Sweet 16'ish.
Just remember, people are on vacation - give him a chance to get back to you. Set a deadline that if he doesn't get back to you by XXX, then you should consider looking into someone else.
Isn't it too soon to be meeting with a DJ for a final rundown? Isn't this usually done w/in two weeks of the wedding?
