SO get this! My dress just arrived the other day and I went on Saturday to try it on. It fit wonderfully, but as I examined the dress I noticed ink stains allll over it! AND right in the front of the dress there was a huge three inch stain down the front. How can a designer send a dress out in such poor condition?! I kept calm though. The bridal shop suggested their seamstress try to remove the stains. After several attempts by one of the seamstress' the head seamstress came over and told the women that she could not touch the dress with anything because of the material and she would ruin it. Lo and behold she had already wiped it down with water and alcohol! The owner of the store came over and immediately took the dress from them and told me they had to send it back... The designer has to replace the dress with a brand new dress! So now, I still do not have my wedding dress and do not know when I will get the new one. I can't even get an estimated time of delivery. Talk about calling it close!

Re: My Dress
Well I'm sure they will get the dress to me before the wedding and with enough time to get it altered if it needs any alterations, but it's just my luck that would happen. The stains were bad-- unbelievably bad. I don't understand why they send it out like that?

I heard this same thing had happened to someone else.....they said someone wrote on the box in marker & it went thru and got on the dress.

Re: My Dress
Well at least you know the fit is good since you got to try it on so you may not need too many alterations. What store did you get your dress? I hope everything works out!

Re: My Dress
that's really awful! Where did you get the dress? Is it possible that the stains happened at the store after the dress was delivered?

Re: My Dress
Well, and this is not fault to the store but the Wedding Center is where I got my dress. The owner was very attentive and very to the point. Before I could even say anything he said they were sending it back. Although, I feel they definitely should have checked the dress before they gave it to me.
And yes, it is more than a shame for EOM.... Especially since they charge so much!

Re: My Dress
thats horrible! I really hope that they rush and it comes in ASAP so you can get alterations done. I honestly think i would rather have a brand new dress than have the seamstress sit there and try to get ink stains out of it.

The Wedding Center?!?! I had a feeling! I read a post a few months ago from a bride who had the same thing happen with them. That's actually why I asked you if it could possilby have been done in the store. I hope they make it up to you and get you a new dress asap!!!
