My mom is making my dress...it is still a work in progress..she is adding szwarski (don't think I spelled that right) crystals on the lace around the waist. She originally had A LOT more lace on the bodice, but I really want a simple, classic, romantic look. What do you girls think?

wow -- that can't be easy. I think the crystals will add a nice touch! Either way, it's looking really good.
My mom's friend made her daughter's dress and it was really beautiful -- every stitch was sewn with love. (She copied the design from a couture dress her daughter adored but couldn't afford)

It is very special....It is def sewn with love, but I have been driving her a little crazy so lately it is sewn with 'Bridezilla' in mind! The crystals will really make it...it will be so sparkly. I had found a dress that I liked and planned to copy, but it has completely morphed into my own design.

lol -- I'm driving my mom crazy with the invitaions -- I change my mind like every ten minutes.

That is sooo sweet that your mom is making your wedding dress. It makes it even more special. The Swarovski crystals are going to look great! Beautiful! I also love that you are using your grandmother's necklace.
