My dress!!!
OMG was it ever a weekend. Mom came up from Florida from Friday to 9:00 this morning to help me with everything, and it went SO WELL. I couldn't believe it. This is a picture of my dress. The picture doesn't do it justice, but mom did take a picture of me in it, which I will hopefully have soon. The top has lace and is beaded down to about the waist, and it's about a 5 foot train. We got it at David's Bridal in Carle Place. The service was so-so (we waited 45 minutes for a slip in the right size, and it took her 3 tries, even though I told her what size I needed). Believe it or not, FH was the one that picked out the winning dress. I tried on about 50 dresses, and he picked one, and that was the one. We also got my veil and crown there.
We also found a money bag and a garter set at Party City that was really nice. We met with a few photographers, that went well too. Now the only thing that isn't settled is the photographer - pretty much everything else is done!
The ONLY THING that got on my nerves the whole weekend:
We're at David's Bridal (we were only there 3 hours, not bad at all considering how many dresses I tried) and we had the whole place to ourselves for almost an hour. Then, this girl comes in, with her mother, 2 aunts, and 3 small girls, about 7-12 years old. And they are OBNOXIOUS, climbing all over the place in the try-on room and such. Well, I'm trying on a dress, and one of the girls comes up to me and says, 'Is that dress for your Sweet Sixteen?' I almost decked the kid, I was so annoyed with them. I'm short, and I look young for my age, but SWEET SIXTEEN? In this dress with a 7-FOOT TRAIN and VEIL ON?!?!?!? Aaarrrgghhh.
