any advise on how to supress ones appetite?

Dexatrim works and doesn't make you all crazy like regular diet pills.

Lots of water. Do you eat enough protein?

Try something drastic like eating only raw fruits and veggies for a week.. It takes tremendous will power but you will drop like 10lbs in a week.. Then after that maybe you will be motivated enough to eat only grilled meats and healthy foods.... I dont think its the appetite that needs to be suppressed.. its what you choose to eat to calm your cravings that needs to be changed. If you are feeling the need to eat something, dont grab a bag of chips, grab baby carrots, an apple or rice cakes. Instead of ice cream eat low fat frozen yogurt. Any little changes with make a big difference.. HTH

thanks, that just prompted a trip to le water cooler... i incorporate protein in every meal...but stress triggers sugar binges for me though & this has been my problem for years...& lately have been stressing the wedding budget hardcore

Don't feel bad.. i did the same thing!!!!!!!!!!!!! I kept pushing my try on appt. back!!!!! I still have weight to lose and when i went in my dress didn't fit but i am doing WW again now and i've lost about 6 pounds in 3 weeks ( i was doing it for 4 but i was in the hospital for most of last week so i couldn't really count points and i didn't lose anything...lol)...

try drinking lots of water...it makes u feel more full when you're ready to eat..
also try smaller meals throughout the day instead of 3 big ones...
things that have a lot of fiber sometimes make me fuller...
picking on nuts or fruit when i'm hungry helps too..
it's mostly mental and once u get over the first week or so of changing the way you eat you actually get used to it and it's not so terrible!
i lost over 50 pounds when i first started WW .. i never even excersized (but that may not work for everyone) and although i am unhappy now cause i put on 20 ... i know i can drop it... i kept it all off for 4 years! so as frustrating as it is you just have to believe u can do it!!!!!!!!!!

When you get sugar cravings what about trying protein bars or chew on some gum? Or even a sugar free lollipop/candies?

What are the foods that you turn too when you are stressed?

You can do the Fatsmash diet for 9 days. It's the detox portion and you're guaranteed to lose 5-10lbs. It's basically fruit, veggies, water, egg whites and brown rice w/ beans or legumes for protein. It's not as bad as it sounds.

Otherwise, my advice to you is just say 'F' it and go try it on. If it's too tight that may be the best motivation.

i feel your pain- i think i gained at least 5 pounds since i ordered my dress

try whole wheat products, drink lots of water with lemon, and when you get hungry- have fruits & veggies handy to pass the cravings
