My Dress is In!! And now I have a question...

When should i schedule my fittings for. I am not planning on losing weight for my wedding....so shold i just make an appointment now? Or should I wait until August?

How many fittings does it usually take?

I would go in now to try it on and see what kind of alterations you are going to need. Also to make sure they ordered the correct dress.

They should be able to give you an idea of how many you will need - figure they need to be two weeks apart and start scheduling from there.

I agree with Christine. I am getting married a day after you and I already had my first fitting in Feb. and my second fitting is scheduled for July.

i would definitely make the appointments now, because they do book up..
RK bridal told me when my fittings should be, my wedding is 8/28 and my fittings are 7/6, 7/27 and8/10.

Mine came in last week and they said i can come in anytime to see it but it is too
early for my first fitting. I plan to go though in July

You should go see it and inspect the dress!!!

My dress came in this week too. They told me to come in 4-6 weeks before for my first fitting- so I made an appt for Aug 26.

The store didn't suggest a schedule?

Congrats on the arrival of your dress!!

I would make an appt. to try your dress on at the store (to make sure it came in okay) and to show the seamstress how it fits. Your fitting dates and how many fittings you need depends on how much the dress needs to be altered. The seamstress should be able to tell you this.

Totally agree. Had I not gone in when my dress arrived, I wouldn't have known until mid-July (when it was suggested I have my first fitting) that the dress was ordered too short! (hallow to hem)
