Just called to see if/when my dress is in and they told me its not scheduled to come in until the 3rd week of October. I am getting married Dec 3rd. Is that enough time for fittings/alterations?!!! With thanksgiving being the week before, i'm just afraid its cutting it so close!

I think that's plenty of time. The third week of October is almost 6 weeks before your wedding. Don't stress! As someone whose dress was finished hours before I was to walk down the aisle I can tell you, it'll be fine!

That's plenty of time. My dress came in August for my October 9 wedding.

That's plenty of time. I didn't start my fittings until a month a head of time.

you'll be okay, really! I was freaking out too when the bridal shop told me my dress wouldn't be in until the 3rd or 4th week in September.
I'm getting married in 7 weeks, my dress JUST came in last Thursday and my first fitting is this Saturday (only 6 weeks before the wedding!)

I am also getting married on December 3rd and my dress just came in but they will not schedule me for an appointment until the middle of October so I would say do not worry about it. Originally they told me my dress was also going to come in the first week of August. I am not sure where you ordered your dress from but the usually know what they are talking about.

I got my dress at Macys and they entered an earlier date for my wedding so the dress would come in a littel earlier. It's still going take until about 1-2 months before my wedding but I also put in my order just under the deadline for having it rushed (only started planning 3 weeks ago). You'll be fine!

That should be plenty of time, but I do agree with your advice about lying...it never hurts to have a time cushin built-in.

Yes it will be fine. I am getting married 11/5 and my first fitting is today! only 5 weeks before my big day.
